To consider sepsis-induced acute kidney injury, renal functional biomarkers and histopathological changes was assessed.
GA treatment significantly improved survival rate at doses of 1, and 2mg/kg. Survival improvement was accompanied by remarkable reduction in the pro-inflammatory cytokines and enhanced production of IL-10. GA showed to have protective effects on renal function as well.
Immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory properties of GA resulted in increase in survival rate and decrease in inflammatory markers in mice model of cecal ligation and puncture-induced sepsis.

This study aimed to access the protective effects of d-ribose-l-cysteine (DRLC) on cyclophosphamide (CPA) induced gonadal toxicity in male rats.
Forty-eight male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into six groups of eight rats each. Group I the control, received distilled water (10ml/kg), Group II received a single dose of CPA 100mg/kg body weight intraperitoneally (i.p), Groups III and IV received a single dose of CPA at 100mg/kg (i.p) and then were treated with DRLC at 200mg/kg bodyweight (b.w) and 400mg/kg b.w for 10days, respectively. Rats in Groups V and VI received DRLC at 200 and 400mg/kg b.w for 10days, respectively. DRLC was administered orally.
Results showed that CPA increased percentage of abnormal sperm cells and reduced body weight, sperm count, sperm motility, follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH) and testosterone levels (p<0.05). CPA also induced oxidative stress as indicated by the increased malondialdehyde (MDA) content and reduced activities of the oxidative enzymes measured (p<0.05). Liver enzymes were elevated while the blood cells production was decreased in the rats administered CPA. DRLC supplementation enhanced the antioxidant defence system as indicated in the reduced MDA levels and increased activities of the antioxidant enzymes when compared with CPA (p<0.05). Bodyweight, sperm count, sperm motility, FSH, and testosterone levels were increased in the CPA+DRLC II group compared with CPA (p<0.05).
The results of this present study showed that DRLC has a potential protective effect on CPA-induced gonadotoxicity.

The development of approaches to the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases caused by alcohol abuse by targeted pharmacological regulation of intracellular signaling transduction of progenitor cells of nerve tissue is promising. We studied peculiarities of participation of NF-кB-, сАМР/РКА-, JAKs/STAT3-, ERK1/2-, p38-pathways in the regulation of neural stem cells (NSC) and neuronal-committed progenitors (NCP) in the simulation of ethanol-induced neurodegeneration

, the role of signaling molecules (NF-кB, сАМР, РКА, JAKs, STAT3, ERK1/2, p38) in realizing the growth potential of neural stem cells (NSC) and neuronal-committed progenitors (NCP) in ethanol-induced neurodegeneration modeled

was studied. To do this, the method of the pharmacological blockade with the use of selective inhibitors of individual signaling molecules was used.
Several of fundamental differences in the role of certain intracellular signaling molecules (SM) in proliferation and specialization of NSC and NCP have been revealed. It has been shown that the effect of ethanol on progenitors is accompanied by the formation of a qualitatively new pattern of signaling pathways. Data have been obtained on the possibility of stimulation of nerve tissue regeneration in ethanol-induced neurodegeneration by NF-кB and STAT3 inhibitors. It has been found that the blockage of these SM stimulates NSC and NCP in conditions of ethanol intoxication and does not have a «negative»effect on the realization of the growth potential of intact progenitors (which will appear
during therapy).
The results may serve as a basis for the development of fundamentally new drugs to the treatment of alcoholic encephalopathy and other diseases of the central nervous system associated with alcohol abuse.

Developments in mechatronic technologies have accelerated the development of assistive devices which are designed for use at home. One of the rehabilitation applications is on a hemiplegic hand. In previous studies, some useful devices have been developed for hand rehabilitation. In this study, we suggest a new, low-cost and wearable robotic glove for hand rehabilitation. The specific component of this device is the spring and cable driven system proposed for transmission of motion and force. The device was tested on both unimpaired participants and patients with the hemiplegic hand, and it was proven to be beneficial for hand rehabilitation. As a result of trials with unimpaired participants, the muscle activation of the extensor digitorum and the flexor carpi radialis were increased by 184.1 and 197.8% respectively. The weight of the device was less than 400 g, thanks to 3D printed parts.
To analyze the literature characteristics of the clinical researches on tumor treatment with acupuncture-moxibustion in PubMed database so as to provide the references for the study of acupuncture-moxibusion in intervention of tumor.
The articles on the clinical researches of acupuncture-moxibusion in treatment of tumor were retrieved from PubMed database listed till December 31, 2018. Using bibliometric methodology, the analysis was conducted on publication year, publication journal, author, country or region, research institution, disease spectrum and therapeutic regimen.
A total of 143 articles are included. The publications are increased steadily since 2004. The articles are published in 64 international journals, of which,
(12 articles) and
(10 articles) occupy the the largest number of publications. They are distributed in 18 countries and regions, of which, the top two countries are America (44 articles) and China (34 articles. The involved types of cancer include breast cancer, prostate cancer, gastric cancer, etc.
