Being Human in the Digital World
When we were in our childhood, our world was very limited; there was not too much interference from any technology or digitalization, and that was a real time when we were truly human. I doubt the digital world is today’s need and a boon to all of us, but don’t you feel? We forget that we are human beings full of liveliness, feelings, and emotions.
Today, everyone around is busy knowing what is happening behind the screen, but are we understanding the issues with our near and dear ones? No, we are forgetting that “Technology is just meant for us. We are not meant for it”.
The following are the dark holes in this Digital World
1. Not Knowing What’s Happening Next Door
This is a bitter truth that we know what’s happening in the world, but sadly, many times, we are unaware of what’s going on in our neighborhood.
2. Less Attachment
24*7 we are all busy on screens, and this is the reason we are going far away from our family, friends, relatives, and the bonding is getting less and less.
3. Invitation to Health Risks
As discussed earlier, digitalization is a boon to us, but this is somehow indirect, giving an invitation to health hazards.
4. Dependency
Here we are leaving our thinking to software because it’s too much easier and more convenient to do it in a readymade way.
5. A State of Confusion
Humans are forgetting that machines and Software are made by them; too much dependency on technology is making decision-making power weak, which is resulting in a state of confusion.
6. Failure to Fulfill a Responsibility or Duty
Being so habituated to leaving more tasks to systems that would handle them for us, which many a time results in failure in fulfilling a responsibility or duty when our system fails, or an error occurs in that software.
