y facilitating more reliable diagnosis of PSP.Lichen planus follicularis tumidus (LPFT) is an extremely rare variant of lichen planus characterized by white to yellow milia-like cysts and comedones on a violaceous to hyperpigmented plaque most commonly involving retroauricular area. Clinically, it resembles milia en plaque. It is usually asymptomatic, more common in middle-aged females. Histopathologically, it has features of lichen planopilaris along with follicular cysts in dermis surrounded by lichenoid infiltrate. We are reporting a case of LPFT in a 62-year-old male patient involving bilateral retroauricular areas due to the rarity of this condition.

To discuss the mechanism of injury and characterize the clinical features of ocular trauma associated with elastic cord exercise equipment band injuries in a consecutive series of patients seen at a single vitreoretinal surgery practice.

We performed a retrospective review of all patients who were treated for blunt trauma from 2013 to 2020 at a single vitreoretinal practice.

Thirteen eyes from 11 patients met the inclusion criteria of possessing ocular trauma secondary to recoil from exercise bands. Presenting visual acuity ranged from 20/16 to HM (median 20/32). The most frequently observed anterior segment pathologies were traumatic iritis (54%) and angle recession (31%). The most common posterior segment findings were vitreous hemorrhage (54%) and peripheral commotio retinae (54%). Three eyes (23%) required surgical intervention. Follow up intervals ranged from 0 to 10 months (median 1.75 months). Visual acuity at last examination ranged from 20/13 to 20/400 (median 20/40).

A wide spectrum of serious ocular injuries requiring medical and surgical intervention can result from this form of blunt ocular trauma. The frequency of this event would be decreased by the use of sports goggles and careful inspection of equipment for wear and over use.

A total of 1265 patients, mean age 72, including 883 periprosthetic hip and 382 periprosthetic fractures about the knee were reviewed. Delay in surgery greater than 72 hours is a risk factor for increased 30-day morbidity in periprosthetic hip and knee fractures (RR = 2.90 (95% CI = 1.74 – 4.71); p-value = <0.001) and risk factor for increased 30-day mortality (RR = 8.98 (95% CI 2.14 – 37.74); p-value = 0.003).

Using NSQIP database to analyze periprosthetic hip and knee fractures, delay to surgery is an independent risk factor for increased 30-day major morbidity and mortality when controlling for patient functional status and co-morbidities. While patient optimization and surgical planning are paramount, minimizing extended delays to surgery is a potentially modifiable risk factor in the geriatric periprosthetic lower extremity fracture patient.

Several distinct gene profiles were associated with lung cancer in China high EGFR mutation rate, low KRAS mutation rate and more comorbidity of HBV infection. Thus, local Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology Guidelines with more consideration of drug accessibility, regional development differences were highly recommended for clinical practice. For treatment, targeted therapy has achieved fruitful progress. Immunotherapy in China was a little bit lag behind previously and now there is a surge of immunotherapeutic drugs under investigation. For future, more preventive strategies and more trials considering chrematistics of Chinese lung cancer are needed.
